As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and eager Coffee Roaster Apprentice to join our team and learn the art and science of roasting.

Job Overview

This is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone passionate about coffee and interested in developing the skills required to become a professional coffee roaster. You will work closely with our head roaster, assisting in daily roasting operations, quality control, and production tasks while gaining invaluable industry experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head roaster in roasting operations, including preparation, execution, and cleanup
• Learn and apply roasting techniques to develop flavor profiles
• Monitor roasting equipment and maintain detailed roasting logs
• Assist in green coffee inventory management and storage
• Conduct quality control checks, including cupping sessions and evaluating roast consistency
• Help with packaging, labeling, and preparing roasted coffee for distribution
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the roasting facility
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures for roasting operations

Qualifications:

• Passion for specialty coffee and a strong desire to learn
• Previous experience in coffee (barista, production, or similar role) is a plus but not
• required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions• Basic understanding of coffee brewing, origins, and flavor profiles is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs + and stand for long periods
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
