This masterpiece requires part genius, part creativity, and a whole lot of hard work. The genius comes from Jose Humberto’s father who’s background is in agrochemistry. His knowledge paired with Jose Humberto’s creativity and out of the box thinking, created this secret family recipe. Their innovative process is unique, and the result is a fantastic coffee full of juicy citrus and chocolate notes. They use a yellow Catuai varietal carefully selected and grown at over 5,200 feet in the small mountain town of Mataquescuintla. Their family has grown coffee here for generations, with each generation improving upon the former. The final product is something you aren’t going to want to miss.
With restrictions easing, we had the opportunity to bring a team to Guatemala in ‘22 to visit our friends who have taught us so much since we started our company in 2016. While on the ground we were able to broker an exclusive deal over some beers to bring this amazing coffee back to California. We are ecstatic to return a fan favorite coffee from one of our favorite producers, and great friend.
